Meditation for all
At Mukti Meditation, we work to help people make meditation a part of their daily life, no matter what their day looks like. To make that possible, we use simple techniques that empower you to meditate without outside guides, meaning you can meditate more deeply. Deeper meditations means you can actually enjoy meditation. And our variety of classes make it possible for you to learn all aspects of meditation, from the techniques themselves, to the philosophy of yoga and meditation, and even lifestyle changes to make your whole day more centered.
Meet Avanti
Avanti is a certified meditation teacher through the Ananda School of Yoga and Meditation. She has been meditating using the techniques she teaches for the past several years. These techniques have been transformational for her in how she relates to herself, to others and the world around her. Avanti believes that with support and guidance, everyone can learn how to meditate and feel deeper levels of calm and joy that lie within themselves. She teaches online and in-person in Turku.
About the techniques
Mukti Meditation teaches a method called Hong Sau, which involves the breath and a mantra to help increase concentration. Hong Sau is in essence a combination of mantra meditation and mindfulness. This technique comes originally from India through a continuous and long line of meditation and yoga philosophy. These techniques were brought and adapted for Western audiences first by Paramahansa Yogananda in the early 1900’s. In Mukti Meditation classes, we continue this tradition of bringing the wisdom of India to other parts of the world.
Avanti has felt the benefits of meditation in her own life but you don’t have to take her word for it. Research has shown that meditation can help ease anxiety and stress from daily life. It also can have physiological effects, such as reducing the heart rate and blood pressure. Better yet, by establishing a regular meditation practice, you can see for yourself how meditation can help you!
